Thank you very much for making our stay at Sturgis memorable, you guys have a very nice and very clean facilaty, the MAGIC BUS made a huge difference as to how much time we spent downtown, we went almost every night we were there, we will be back again next year and we are looking forward to staying at KATMANDU , see you in 2009,

Your staff is friendly and very helpful and should be commended! They were working around the clock and it didn't go unnoticed.

Thank you all, this year was great (one of the best) and we had a blast.

Again, we had a blast this year. As for the camp, everything (our other home!) was perfect... I didn't hear a single complaint. I don't mean just from our group, we always are hitting up anyone we get to on how they are enjoying their stay.... consider it your customer service department :-)

Thank you for the hospitality as usual; you all are family to us all. The impact our stay has on us is kind of weird, we were sitting around one night and all agreed that it seems like we leave Katmandu and dream away the rest of the year. Sept through July goes by like a blur; we can remember only a few things from the year and most require some thought to recall details, but our time in at Katmandu and the Black Hills... I can recall about every minute of it. As Dave North put it, our 1st day here (in camp) was like we woke up from a deep sleep and it was just yesterday not last year that we were sitting around the camp. Shows how much are hearts are in it and how much what you all do keeps us going year to year.

We miss you all and give our love to Dave, Jaime, Brad, and Peanut!

See you in 50 Weeks!!

First off, thanks for another stellar week in Sturgis. I had ordered cooler temperatures, but hey, we managed? A HUGE thanks for the canopy to park the bikes and picnic tables under. The campground was a class act from check-in to check-out and everything in between, AGAIN. Thanks for that. I really enjoyed playing with Brooke each evening!! Reminded me how much I missed my grand-daughter, Sage. Keep on keeping on and I am sure we will see you next year.

This was our first year at katmandu and we must say it was a great experience. The grounds were keep clean as well as the bathrooms, our site was level , the people friendly, the bus rides to sturgis were great. The best time we had. See you next year.

Just a short note to tell you how pleased my two riding friends and I were with your campground. It was exactly as you promised. Clean, well organized, friendly and just what we wanted. The showers and washroon facilities were great. Waits were short or non existant and no shortage of hot water. For us the shuttle bus was worth the price alone. But you know that don't you? The folks working at the camp were great too. Kathy's sister was a wealth of information.
We will definitely give your campground a big thumbs-up to anyone looking for accomodation at Sturgis. Thank you and hope to see you again.

My stay at Katmandu Campground couldn't have been any better, it was the most beautiful place I've experienced and your hospitallity will never be matched. It didn't take long to figure out WHO the Kat was and Who the Man is and for the "Du" It was pretty obvious that you two are in tune and are doing the "DO" I was well pleased and am grateful to have met cha. I just wanted to let you know that I had a great time while I stayed at Katmandu. This was my first venture to Sturgis and I combined it with a family reunion in Jackson, WY the week prior to my arrival. In total, it was a 5,000 mile vacation (unfortunately, without my wife - but she was in Austria with her sisters on vacation). My last day (8/8) was my 52nd birthday and I couldn't think of a better place to be.
You have to be very proud of Katmandu. It was so clean and the people who stayed there were friendly and very respectful of others.
I know I will be coming back to Sturgis in a couple of years and Katmandu will be my choice of places to camp.

Both of you continue to strive for a comfortable, home-like facility and you have achieved that feeling. My only complaint is that you could have kept the rain down to lets say once every other day? The best addition to your facility this year is your daughter. She is a fine example of upbringing, charm and personality. I enjoyed meeting her and seeing so much of Kathy in her, her ways and her character. Please extend my thanks to your daughter for her kindness and cordial way.

By the way, I had a great time there in 2000. Was my first time there, new experience. You have a great site! The best part was seeing the 100’s of bikes cruising down I-90 to Sturgis when the sun was setting over the Black Hills.

I stayed @ Katmandu in 2000 also. It was brand new that year and was an excellent place to camp. I could cruise into Sturgis, right to Main St. in 10 minutes, quick and easy unlike coming in from the east on 79! They have 31 acres, so there is plenty of room. They have a bus that runs to Sturgis and back in the evenings every hour, last one at midnight. Last year they had two food vendors and this year they will have cold beer as well. The area by the food vendors has covered picnic tables. The shower house has flush toilets and there are outhouses around the rest of the campground. the owners Kathy and Dave and their staff where just GREAT.
I have booked there again this year.

Paula and I really enjoyed our trip to Sturgis mainly due to our stay @ Katmandu. You guys are a real class act all the way around. It made our trip carefree staying with you guys. When we come back we will definitely stay with you. We have not made-up our minds yet about 2002/2003. This trip is still very fresh and we need some time to make plans. I will let you know. Just to let you know your place was great to stay at!!! I was with (wild) Bill & his boy (cabin 5?) Craig & I got there on Thurs. we had missed all of the heat which Bill said that the air conditioner was wonderful! Beer garden was nice & a great place to relax, along with coffee in the morning. Anyway, plan on seeing you guys next year!!
If you could pass along some of the emails of the people that we met that would be cool, such as the boys from Pochontas Ark., my tatoo couple, Boone & his wife, Steve from England ( if you want the full story email me back), the people from oregon, who else did Bill know? I'm not very good with names!!!

We met someone several miles down the road that said to stay at Katmandu. We were very impressed. We are planning to attend again next year ( I can't wait). What do we need to do about a reservation. Hi Kathy and Dave,

Just wanted to drop you a line, to let you know that we made it home safe and sound. It was very windy east of Rapid City to almost Sioux Falls. The wind took the awning and started slapping it against the motorhome as we traveled down the highway. Flashbacks of Tues. 8/1 were not pleasant. Duck tape is a wonderful invention. We got the awning rolled back up and duck taped the awning supports to the motorhome.

Again, thanks so much for a wonderful time. I know you 2 have been busting your butts to make sure everyone was kept happy and by now things should be quieting down for you. Jim and I look back and wonder where the time went. We can't believe the adventure is over with for this year.

Well there is always next year and I will get a deposit to you for sites 31 and 32 for next year, in the next few weeks.

Can't wait to see the drowning biker picture.

Thanks for everything. After visiting the zoo at Buffalo Chip, I feel we had the best spot in the best campground in Sturgis.
My most memorable time however, was at the Steppenwolf concert there when over 500 bikers started revving their engines and drowning out the band playing "Born To Be Wild". Still gives me goosebumps!!
